Peter has been racing as a licensed USCF racer since 1991 racing inmost of the Northeast in races such as the Green Mountain Stage Race(Vermont), Cleveland Revco Criterium, NYS Championships (Syracuse RaceWeekend), Enchanted Mountain Stage Race (Olean, NY). Lake PlacidCloudsplitter Classic Stage Race and others. Specializing in timetrialing he has enjoyed achievements such as 5th (out of 89) in the2001 Cloudsplitter Prologue TT just behind 2004 U23 USA Cycling riderof the year Kevin Bouchard-Hall and 3rd Overall in the 2003 PresqueIsle TT (Erie, PA) (with an avg speed of 27.2mph). In 2002, he waspresented with the Stan Forrestal Memorial Trophy for Time TrialExcellence by the Buffalo Bicycling Club. In 2006, was elected to theBoard of Directors for the Buffalo Bicycling Club. He is also the Coachof the Empire State Games Western Region Cycling Team.
Coach Cummings has been training and Coaching athletes with Powermetersfor a little over 8 years. He also has spent hours in the wind tunnelwith athletes to maximize their aerodynamics with great success. Thefollowing results represent a portion of his athlete's accomplishments:
